I had posted a note earlier with little feedback so I thought I would post HOW TO INSTALL High Sierra on VMware Workstation 12.5.7 It is much easier than the complicated scripts that I have seen. Assuming that you have a functioning macOS system: 1) On your existing macOS, go to the App Store and download the High Sierra installer. Some people have reported that a stub installer is only downloaded although this has not happened to me. If it happens to you, follow the instructions on this page: 2) The easy way to create a bootable USB is to use Install Disk Creator. It has been updated for High Sierra: OR, Using a Terminal window, you could use the command: sudo /Applications/Install macOS High Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia -volume /Volumes/MyVolume Note: Replace 'MyVolume' with the name of the macOS volume of your USB key 3) Create a new Virtual Machine in VMware Workstation. Select 'Apple Mac OS X' as the Guest O/S and 'macOS 10.12' as the version. Select the default for all other options (although I prefer to have the virtual disk as one single file) 4) Edit the newly created VMX file and append the two following lines: smc.version = 0.
Now it's working, then when finish install, now not start block on the bios blue screen. How can i install vmware tools? I have.exe for vmware workstation 14 (contains vmware tools), but. Thanks for your help, If you are stopping on the EFI boot screen which shows that the boot path is 'Unsuccessful', then you did not disable the virtual SSD properly.
Look at your VMX file and check the type of disk used. The sample I showed above is the default where the VMware virtual disk is a SATA drive and mounted as the first drive. Therefore the line below properly disables the virtual SSD emulation in the virtual machine. Sata0:0.virtualSSD = '0' If you still have problems, please ATTACH (DO NOT POST) the VMX file for your virtual machine.
Good afternoon. I've been suffering for three days.

Hello people, I am very new to the hackintosh scene. I have built an unraid server and am running windows 10 and OSX High Sierra as VM’s on it. My motherboard is gigabyte ga-7pesh2 which has two rear usb 2.0 slots and internal usb 2.0 header. I have installed NZXT internal USB hub to it for installing the Broadcom BCM94360CD card and other accessories to it. My windows side works perfectly fine. I was able to use Bluetooth, WiFi and the USB ports from the NZXT hub.
I am able to use Logitech keyboard and mouse with unifying receiver as well as Magic Keyboard and Mouse. I am also able to play audio using Bluetooth. The problem arises when I boot into OSX High Sierra, i am able to turn on and off both the WiFi and the Bluetooth but my Bluetooth won’t connect to my apple Magic Mouse or magic keyboard.
I also tried using Logitech Mouse and Keyboard using the usb hub but the Mouse lags very badly, its unusable and the keyboard is not working at all. However the WiFi works perfectly. I have read about installing USB Kexts and all but I am so new to the scene I am not sure how to move forward with it. If anyone can please help me that would be great. Thank you so much.

First of all, thank you for having me here! And, well, I bought a new computer with the following build: ASRock H310M-G/M.2 motherboard Intel Core i5 8400 2.8ghz EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 6gb 16gb RAM 2400mhz HyperX SSD Kingston a1000 m.2 240gb HDD 1TB HDD 500gb I had a problem with 'Still waiting for root device' when I was trying to boot the USB Install Disk I made. I managed to boot the installation using the USBInjectAll.kext and PMHeart's patch on config.plist. After that, I proceeded and formatted the 500gb HDD to install 10.13.6 on it.
It starts copying the installation files to the HDD with a message poiting 5 minutes left. Then, on 2 minutes left, the installation freezes for a couple os seconds then it reboots. Did that again on verbose mode, it gave me this message: After it reboots, I booted the USB Install Disk again and used it to boot the 500gb HDD to continue the installation.
After it boots, it starts the installation with a message saying 22 minutes left and, less than 1 minute later, I get a panic with this message on verbose: When I boot again, the installation continues to the point that says that it can't be installed. Well, I don't know what to do anymore. I've tried a bunch of stuff and nothing worked so far. Do you guys have any tips?
Thank you in advance. Attempting to install high sierra 10.13.6 with clover Current build: (was running yosemite through chimera) Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD7 TH CPU: i7-4790K Graphics: GTX 980 Other Hardware: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory Model F3-2133C9D-16GXH Was able to install 10.13.6 high sierra installed, with these efi settings. Mouse and keyboard don't work in welcome screen just see the languages with mouse locked in top left corner. Tried a bunch of usb settings no success. I even added FakePCIIDXHCIMux.kext, FakePCIID.kext, & USBInjectAll.kext still no luck with usb. Can't get past welcome page. Motherboard only has usb 3.0. I was able to get the usb 3.0 working in mojave (sadly issues w/ nvidia graphics card driver) using just the USBInjectAll.kext and some of the replace hex patches for usb support and remove limiters.
Any help would be appreciated! Hi, I have High Sierra 10.13.6 installed on a Gigabyte h360m d3h, an i3 8100 processor and a GeForce GTX 760. I'm having some issues with sleep, shutdown and reboot not working correctly, this is what happens: Sleep: the machine restarts Shutdown: the OS appears to not be running but the machine is left on Restart: the same as shutdown Everything else (audio, video, usb) appears to be working correctly. Do you know how can I fix this?
I'm attaching my config.plist and clover bootlog config.plist bootlog.txt. Installing macOS High Sierra on VMware Workstation 12.5.7.
